About the event

Steam is more than heat.

Across cultures, from the Russian banya to the Finnish sauna, the Turkish hammam to the Japanese onsen, it has always been a place to slow down, return to the body, and be quiet together. In the Slavic tradition, steam is treated as a craft: shaped through rhythm, attention and care, not endurance.

For one evening, Light House and PARA bring that craft to the rooftop.

We open with a short talk — where steam culture comes from, why the ritual follows the rhythm it does, and how the bathhouses of the world (the Russian banya in particular) still teach us to work with heat, breath and cold.
