OUR HOUSE
IS YOUR HOUSE
Welcome to the house
that healing built.
A sanctuary for the seekers, the misfits, the magic-makers. A retreat.A space for the ones who are brave enough to ask big questions—and soft enough to hear the answers.

OUR WHY
You’re looking at two ordinary people—Robyn and Jay—trying to make something we felt was missing. A space that felt like freedom.
I—Robyn—grew up in Vereeniging and mission station called KwaSizaBantu, a childhood shaped by total control, fear, and silence. By the timeI reached my thirties, I’d shape-shifted into happiness enough times to realise I was burntout and lost. After another breakup and a familiarcrash, I pulled together the pennies and bought a one-way ticket to Bali. One month became nine. I came undone in the best way. Breath by breath, I came back to myself.
Jay’s story is different, but I think we both grewup learning how to survive. He was raised inCape Town by a single mom in a council house, resourceful and relentless. He knew responsibility early. And he’s always been building things—little ventures, big visions. He’s grounded, curious, brave. He’s the stoic one. The science guy, the bio-hacker. A doer, a mover. He asks good questions.

OUR HOW
We had no big backing. One start-up investment. No perfect plan, really. Just the desire to work to create something beautiful, and real. A place that didn’t smell like sweat and stress. A place with good light, great coffee, and things that brought you back to yourself.
Not performance. Not perfection. Just presence.

WHAT WE ARE NOW
Light House has never been only one thing. It’s always been a bit in-between. Somewhere beautiful to move, breathe, cry, think, shake, laugh, write, float, fall apart. Somewhere to connect.
We’ve held events, ceremonies, brands, corporates, celebrations, conversations, stillness, sound.
We’ve made a few mistakes. And we’re still learning. These days, we’re simplifying. Morning movement only. After that, the space shifts—reserved for curated events, private bookings, and meaningful moments.

OUR INVITATION
We offer a space that doesn’t expect anything
from you. One that holds
what you bring, exactly
as you are.
That’s what this is. Space
to breathe. To explore.
To connect.
We invite you to join us.
